Treatment For Cyst Behind Ear
When cysts are small and not very infected, you can treat the cyst non-surgically, at home.
- Apply a heating pad directly over the cyst. Another alternative is melt wax and drop a little bit on the cyst. It affords instant relief and melts the cyst as well.
- Mix turmeric powder and water and apply on the cyst for about 10 to 15 minutes; then wash off. Repeat 2 to 3 times a day, for a few days till the cyst vanishes.
- Tea tree essential oil is ideal. It is an excellent anti-septic. Apply a drop 4 to 5 times a day, till the cyst disappears.

Usually a cyst does not need any treatment or surgical intervention; they diminish on their own. However, when the condition gets complicated, your doctor may recommend surgery. The surgeon will numb the area and then make an incision. He will drain the pus / discharge and clean the area properly. Next, he will wash it off with an iodine-based solution. The hole is filled with an anti-septic ribbon. The dressing should be changed regularly.
