In such a situation, you should follow your gynecologist opinion. Eat your regular food, drink milk twice in a day, and eat bananas, vegetables and other nutritious food. Take eight hours sleep.
There are many reasons for abnormal weight. Diabetes, hypertension, malnourishment, decreased food intake, cigarette smoking and alcohol addiction, placenatal abnormality etc are some of the causes for low weight of the child.

I am 9 weeks pregnant and my baby has grown only as 7 weeks and two days and there is no heartbeat. The doctor has scheduled me for abortion. I don’t have any bleeding and I don’t feel my stomach hurting either. Should I follow the doctor’s advice? Please tell me what happens to my baby inside since I don’t experience any of the causes mentioned above.

I had a first miscarriage in March as the embryo was not growing properly. The ultrasound showed only a dot and doctor advised for abortion. Now I am planning to have my first child but I am very scared as it had caused lot of problems during my last pregnancy. I always have a question in my mind why didn’t the embryo grow?

There are several reasons for the failure of embryo to grow. However, it is not necessary that it may be the same this time. You can talk to your doctor if there are preliminary tests that can help to determine an abnormality which prevents the growth of an embryo.

Since the recommendation is given by your gynecologist, you may have to follow it for your health. However, if you want to take a second opinion from another gynecologist, you can do so.

I am 33 weeks pregnant. My baby’s abdomen isn’t growing as fast as the rest of her. She is smaller than average. The doctor wants to check to make sure if the placenta is working properly. If it isn’t, what will they do?

I was 19 weeks pregnant. It was time for ultrasound test. When the test was done, it revealed my baby is not alive. I did have 2 times spotting and there was no other symptom of miscarriage. I went to my doctor and according to his advice I waited for 48 hours and the baby inside me got expelled. I really do not know why my baby did not grow.
