My father has small black spots all over his body. He works in the yard most of the time. He is 71 years of age. He has been taking medicines from a dermatologist. Are those black spots contagious? Is this condition dangerous for his health?

There are many reasons for such black spots. This spots can be hyper pigmentation due to aging. It can be due to some skin disease or systemic problem. Since he is taking treatment from dermatologist he must have diagnosed the condition. It is difficult to say if the condition is contagious or dangerous without knowing other associated symptoms. You have to ask his dermatologist for this.
