Finger Nail Striation

The food we eat consists of all nutrients required for the healthy body. Nails help access how well our body is absorbing these nutrients. A deficient diet can affect your nails. Although fingernails and toenails are primarily composed of protein, other nutrients are also required.

Finger nail striations, thinning and weakening is common in pregnant females, teenagers and those who have allergy to food. Factor for causation in all this cases is deficiency of nutritious food or improper absorption of food.
Never cut the cuticles as this can damage the nail and invites infections.
