- Isolation – since mumps virus is spread easily, consider isolating the sick person or immediately admit him to the hospital.
- Hand washing – the most important thing you should do. Hand washing has been shown to decrease the incidence of transmission and infection of a particular disease.
Mumps And Infertility In Men Treatment
Infertility-related mumps is rare complication. When infected you can incorporate these treatments:
- Adequate rest and sleep especially during fever periods.
- Take only soft foods like mashed potato and soup.
- Include light liquids such as water and juice that are not sour.
- Do not give highly seasoned and spicy foods.
- Try warm or cold compress to soothe pain.
- You can also give acetaminophen for pain and fever.
