Low Sperm Motility Treatment
What is low motility sperm? This a concern among men, but male infertility motility is a greater concern. For fertilization to take place, the sperm has to swim its way from the vaginal canal to the fallopian tubes or uterus to meet with the matured egg cell. In this condition, the ability of the sperm to swim is lessened.

When seeking for the proper treatment, knowing what caused the condition will be very helpful. It could be any of the following:
- Stress: Several studies have shown that stress affects the motility of sperm in a positive way.
- Working in areas where the temperature is too high or when having frequent hot baths or saunas.
- Hormonal imbalance is one common cause.
- Nutritional deficiency, especially those diets lacking in vitamin C, zinc, selenium, folic acid, and cholesterol (but not too much).
- Lack of L-carnitine and acetyl L-carnitine which catalyses sugar that acts as energy for the sperm.
