What Causes Heart Palpitation

Heart palpitations usually occur when there is an increase in the pumping and blood circulation of the heart. When there is an increase in cardiac output, there would also be an increase of heart rate thus leading to palpitations.

  • Excessive strenuous exercise would result to an increased cardiac activity and thus palpitations.

  • Shortness of breath is also another symptom of someone having heart palpitations.
  • An increase in heart rate would indicate that there is heart palpitation.
  • Some individuals will manifest a slurred speech or incomprehensible talking. Most people suffering from anxiety attacks will show this symptom.

  • In the case of an anxiety attack, keeping the person calm by talking to him and making him forget about whatever it is that is making him anxious will help.
