Lemon is known for its antibacterial properties and its juice can definitely ward off microorganisms that cause certain diseases.
  • Lemon juice is also effective for getting rid of body odors and as a natural deodorizer. By dabbing lemon juice on your armpits and in between the toes, you are sure to get rid of that unbecoming smell due to perspiration and other normal daily activities.
  • Lemon juice can also be used to cleanse facial skin and shed off excess oil. Apply lemon juice on the face and gently scrub the lemon’s skin to take out dead skin cells. Rinse with water afterwards.
  • Lemon juice is also proven to have bleaching properties that can help lighten the skin. Apply lemon juice on your body before taking a bath and leave it on for at least three minutes before rinsing it off with water. Do this once or twice a day and see the results after a few weeks. Just be sure that you do not have open wounds or cuts on areas where you would be applying lemon juice. Also, avoid going out under the sun when you have applied lemon juice on your skin because it will only darken your complexion instead of lightening it due to its photosynthetic nature.
