My hands and feet are dark compared to rest of the body. I always apply sunscreen lotion before stepping out. I have tried applying milk but it has not been effective. Can I treat this with any other home remedies?

This home remedy is worth a try to make your skin fair: Take a teaspoon of gram flour. Add pinch of turmeric powder. Add three to four teaspoon of milk or milk cream. Mix all the contents well until it forms a smooth paste. Now apply it on your hands and feet 15 minutes before you take bath. Wash the paste while bathing. Practice it regularly for 15 days. You will find change in your skin complexion.

Shingles or herpes zoster is a viral disease caused by group of virus belonging to the same family that causes chickenpox. Herpes zoster usually occurs as fluid filled rashes over the skin surface. It runs its course of 5 to 7 days after which the rash becomes dry. Sometimes it leaves behind scars and dark discolored spots. In majority of cases this scar heals itself and the dark color fades. But if the scar and discoloration is persistent, you can consult a dermatologist. Scars and black discoloration can reduce with use of laser, chemical peel or dermabrasion.
