If you are one of the people mentioned above, you might want to consider some of these tips on how to replenish blood naturally and how to produce blood in the body with the help of food.

Diet For Replenishing Blood Naturally

If you are looking for ways to replenish blood naturally, one of the things you can do is to find the foods that produce blood in the body or increase the production of blood in your system. Here are some suggestions:

  • Increase your intake of protein after you donate blood or when you are having your monthly period since proteins can help with the building of new blood cells.
  • Foods that are rich in folic acid and iron should also be considered since these two can increase your blood’s hemoglobin content.
Liver, green leafy vegetables and pulses are a few of the foods you should consider.
  • Aside from foods, you should also increase your liquid intake to help kick-start the production of new blood in your body. Vegetable juices, fruit juices, and water are good for doing this.
  • Raw vegetables should also be included in your diet when you are trying to replenish the blood. Steamed vegetables are okay but raw is better.

Aside from food, you should know that one of the things your body needs to replenish blood naturally is to have rest. Getting yourself ample rest includes a good night’s sleep after you donate blood or sleeping at least 8 hours a day when you have your monthly periods.

My mother aged 67 years, is a Heart patient, Diabetic and BP patient. Her Hemoglobin level is 5.8 from the CBP / Hemogram tests. It was diagnosed that the fall in Hemoglobin level is due to undernourishment. Can we try good proteins food to try to increase Hemoglobin level or should we transfuse the blood? Sugar is in control and all the reports are normal except Iron level and Hemoglobin level.

There are two approaches for increasing her hemoglobin level.
1)She has to eat iron rich food such as green leafy vegetables, spinach, pulses and liver. She can also take oral iron supplements.
Protein foods are also good for her overall vitality.
2)Observing her physical condition, your doctor can decide if she requires blood transfusion or iron injections or continue with oral supplements and iron rich food.
