But there’s nothing to worry about it if such bumps are properly diagnosed and treated. Pus bumps on vagina do not mean that someone has a serious sexually transmitted disease.   • A sexually transmitted disease can be a source. Genital herpes and warts present themselves with a lump or a bump on the vagina. These bumps can become infected overtime and may produce puss.

Proper diagnosing of the disease or condition is the key to an effective treatment plan. It is important to consult your doctor if you feel something unusual. Meanwhile here is a list of treatment for pus filled bumps on vagina:

  • Maintain proper hygiene. Wash your private areas as often as possible with perineal solutions available in the market.
  • Avoid rough sexual intercourse.
  • Use underwear made of cotton to provide optimum comfort. Tight-fitting clothes can also predispose you from having bumps.
  • You can submerge your pelvic area in a basin or tub with warm water and add one tablespoon of salt. This can alleviate pain and improve healing.
  • Do not douche. Douching will only push the microorganisms further to the vagina and can cause fatal infections.
