Roundworms are almost worldwide in distribution and are abundant in the surface layers of soils. Almost all of the types of roundworms are medically harmful; they live in plants, animals, and even humans. Roundworm infections are common and frequently go unnoticed. The causes of roundworms vary according to the genus that has caused the infection. Here are a few causes of roundworms:
