- Body needs time to recuperate from a long time illness. During the recovery period rest and relaxation are extremely important. Patient should sleep well as this will help to repair and strengthen the subdued immunity. At least patient has to sleep for 8 to 9 hours in a day. He has to avoid any strenuous activities. However, simple daily chores such as waking in the house, bathing, washing, can be encouraged.
