My daughter has thread worms (her age is 1 year 6 months) in her stools. I gave her dose of Zental Syrup. Will it cure the problem? Are thread worms harmful to her health? What other home remedies can be used to prevent thread worms? Will giving Zental kill all the warms in her anus? Even I am facing thread worm problem & I breastfeed my baby. Could this be the cause of thread worm in my child? Are these the same as hook worms or round worms?

The antihelminthic syrup you mentioned is a broad spectrum dewormin, it will act. Thread worms will cause itching in the anal area, dermatitis and soreness in the anal region, besides she can become anemic and malnourished. Personal hygiene for both mother and child are important to stop reinfection. Carrots and coconut and homeopathic medicine Cina will be useful to treat thread worms. Thread worms are different than other hook worms and round worms.
