Exercises For Legs At Home
There are leg exercises which can be done at home with or without using the instruments.
- Squats: This is a simple exercise which can be done at home. Stand in an upright position. Keep your feet apart at 1 to 2 feet distance. Keep your hands at the sides. Slowly lower your body as if you are sitting on a chair. Hold on for few seconds and come back to the original position. You can do the exercise for 15 to 20 times.
- Leg press benefits: Leg press exercise involves all the leg muscles. You may need the help of an instructor, if you are doing the exercise for the first time. It is a machine exercise. Be comfortable on the machine. Raise your feet, with hands on the grips which are at the sides. Keep your back and head straight against the support. Lower the weight until your legs are at 90 degree. Again raise the weight with your legs. Repeat the exercise for 20 times.

- Running or jogging also involves all the muscles of the leg.
- To strengthen your calves, heel rising is a good exercise. Stand on your legs with shoulder width apart. Now raise your heels so that you are on your toes. Hold on for few seconds and return to the original position. Do these exercises 20 to 30 times daily to strengthen your leg muscles.
