  • Breathlessness and throat irritation: you may find difficulty in breathing after eating crab. This is more serious situation, contact your doctor immediately as it can lead to more serious problems. The cause may be due to swelling of windpipe and mucus membrane of throat.
  • Vomiting and diarrhea with abdominal cramps is another allergic symptom of crab allergy.

  • Giddiness is another crab allergy symptom associated with breathlessness.
  • Feeling of tightness in chest with short breathing is a crab allergy symptom after eating crab. You should immediately consult your physician for necessary treatment, as delaying it may cause lot of trouble.
  • Anaphylaxis: it is a life threatening situation, you may feel dizzy, low blood pressure, fast and feeble pulse, perspiration and breathing difficulty are some of its symptoms. If not treated in time it can turn to be a fatal cause. In such a situation patient should be immediately hospitalized in an emergency room.

  • Avoid eating seafood and selfish and crabs in particular if you have history of crab allergy.
  • Your doctor may prescribe modern day anti histamines, if your crab allergy symptoms are mild.
  • Drink plenty of water if there is vomiting and diarrhea. Mix lemon juice, salt and sugar in one glass of water. Drink many times to compensate fluid loss.
