White Discharge from Vagina – Natural Home Remedies and Causes

White Discharge Infection – Causes and Treatments:

White discharge infection is one of the commonest complaints in females. This is called as leucorrhea. It is an abnormal discharge from the female genitals. White discharge can wary from few days to a week or even months at a time. This has to be treated carefully as it can cause chronic condition and may even hamper in process of normal menstruation.
Along with discharge one can have tiredness and weakness. Lower back pain and leg pains are common.

Causes of Leucorrhea:

White discharge denotes a generally lowered vitality and toxic condition of the body mechanism.

Whenever there is load of toxic substance in the body and they are not eliminated from the body through skin, urine, stools and lungs the female body establishes profuse discharge or elimination through the mucous membrane of the uterus and vagina in the form of white discharge.
After child-birth white discharge may follow due to damage of the cervical lining and mucous membrane of the reproductive organs.
Other common causes are unhygienic habits and displacement of the uterus. Anemia can also cause white discharge.

Natural Remedies for Leucorhea:

Some of the home remedies which are useful in this condition are lady’s fingers, fenugreek seeds, and mango seeds.

• Lady’s fingers are useful in treating white discharge. A decoction of lady’s finger is prepared by boiling them in 100ml of water. Boil it till the water is reduced to half its original quantity. This should be strained and sugar or honey is added for taste. This should be taken 100ml three times a day till the symptoms subsides.
• Fenugreek seeds are beneficial in treatment of white discharge. Tea should be prepared and should be taken two times in a day. Vaginal douche can be prepared from this tea. For douche a solution should be much stronger than the tea. This can be prepared by adding two tablespoon of fenugreek seeds in a liter of water and allowed to simmer on slow flame for half an hour. This should be strained and used as vaginal douche.
• A teaspoon of the paste of the decorticated kernel of mango can be applied inside the vagina to cure white discharge.
