Prepone Menstruation

Although it is always deemed best for a woman not to interfere with her menstrual cycle, there may be instances when it is better to prepone it for some reason. Whatever the intent, the main consideration is to bring menstruation to an earlier date to make sure that it will not interfere with later planned activities.

In scientific communities, there are known ways to bring menstruation forward. However, the recurring advice from experts remains that one should not interfere with menstruation unless at the most extreme of necessities.

Should I or Should I not Prepone My Menstruation?

For women who are hooked to the active life, such as those competing in sporting events, inducing one’s menstrual period to come at an earlier date may be an option to consider so as not to hinder one’s physical movements.

Since a woman can calendar when her next period will be, she can tell if that will interfere with the way of her next sports performance.

On the other hand, for women whose period is irregular and unpredictable, the option for preponing  menstruation is even more attractive. This is because the next menstrual period may happen to be on those days when a woman may be exerting a lot of physical effort and movements. As such, the purpose will be to set an exact date when a woman may be able to better control it by preponing it to days that are less hectic.

Meanwhile, for women whose life is not really hectic and strenuous, preponing one’s menstruation may not be an option to be taken. Rather, most experts suggest that if there is no heavy reason to prepone the cycle, then it is best to leave it to its natural course. This is because preponing it may cause some harmful effects that could be detrimental to the functions of the reproductive system; it may even put a woman’s entire health in jeopardy, risking her life in the process.

  • In case you want to put your menstruation to come in early, there are plenty of interventions available. Herbalists believe that consuming large amounts of pineapple and papaya helps to bring on an early menstruation.
  • Another way to bring menstruation earlier is to consume large amounts of sesame seeds. Other fruits such as watermelon and honeydew are also known to hasten menstruation.

    My menstrual cycle ended a few days ago. In about three days after the bleeding stopped I started bleeding again.
