Weight loss diet supplements are supplements to daily meals and activity intended to affect the body in a way that helps it to lose weight. They are many kinds of weight loss diet supplements all making different types of weight loss claims. Some weight loss diet supplements claim to suppress the appetite. Other weight loss diet supplements claim to act as blockers that block fat and carbs, and still others claim to be fat burners or metabolism boosters. These weight loss diet supplements can be found in any health food store or online. Weight loss diet supplements come in pill form and powder form.

They are many different popular types of weight loss diet supplements. One of the most popular is Hoodia. Hoodia is a weight loss diet supplement meant to decrease the appetite. However, there is no conclusive evidence to prove that any weight loss is associated with Hoodia. Ephedra is another popular weight loss diet supplement. It claims to decrease appetite as well. This weight loss supplement can cause high blood pressure, sleeplessness, seizures, strokes, heart attacks, death, and heart rate irregularities. It has been banned as not only a weight loss diet supplement but for any use period. It can however still be found online. Green tea extract is yet another popular weight loss diet supplement. It supposedly increased calorie and fat metabolism and decreases the appetite. There is limited to little evidence to support this. When used as a weight loss diet supplement it can cause vomiting, bloating, indigestion, and diarrhea. It can also contain a large amount of caffeine.
From the above once can deduce that a lot of controversy comes along with weight loss diet supplements. The first question is whether or not they work. Lack of support and evidence for weight loss diet supplements suggests that weight loss diet supplements do not actually work. The second question is: are they dangerous? It seems that the side effects of the popular weight loss diet supplements are extremely dangerous. It is highly unlikely that one would choose to suffer the effects of the weight loss diet supplements even if the supplements were proven to work.
It is assured that weight loss diet supplements will continue to be used by many even though there is lack of support of their success and even though the effects can be awful. Much more research is needed in the area of weight loss diet supplements. Most ingredients commonly used in weight loss diet supplements have been banned by the government. Still, others have been approved for use in the United States. However, does it work and it is dangerous, are two questions that will still be asked of weight loss diet supplements for years to come.
