Cancerous Moles are skin moles that can appear at any age. Though not all skin moles are cancerous, moles developing in adulthood have a greater risk of being malignant.
Signs of Cancerous Moles
Cancerous moles look different compared to normal moles, they are irregular in shape and are more frequently seen on the skin, which is exposed to the sun. They tend to grow in size over time.
Symptoms Of Skin Moles Cancer
Here are a few symptoms of the cancerous mole,
- Cancerous mole may appear elevated, which rapidly changing color. Further, the mole may bleed or change in size (i.e. increase or decrease) frequently
- Cancerous moles are usually larger than normal moles (i.e. larger than 6 millimeters in size). It is important to consult a the doctor immediately
- Cancerous moles tend to have different colors like shades of brown, black, blue, tan, etc. The mole is not uniform in color throughout. This is a typical indication of a cancerous mole. Further, the border of the mole is not even and symmetrical.
Treatment For Cancerous Moles
The treatment includes skin mole removal, which is done under anesthesia, after the diagnosis is confirmed. There is also a high risk of re-occurrence of the mole.
A diet rich in fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, nuts, etc is recommended as it is rich in antioxidants and prevents the recurrence of the condition.
