Question: I seem to have tiny holes in armpits. And every time I squeeze them white or peach colored liquid squirts out with a very strange smell. Sometimes after putting arms down it hurts like a shock of pain. I have a purple spot on right armpit that hurts when you touch it or put arm down. What are the causes and ways to get rid of these armpit holes?
Answer: I would request for some more information,
- Does it itch or pain in your underarm?
- Have you notice exfoliation of the underarm skin?
- Did you suffer from trauma in your underarm?
- Do you use deodorants or any application on the skin of your underarm?
It is a possibility that you have pustules in your underarm area.
- Pustules are small, pus-filled, inflamed and painful lesions on the skin surface.
- They may occur anywhere in the body but are common in areas with excessive sweating like the groin and underarms.
- They occur due to bacterial infections.
- The bluish discoloration may be attributed to blunt trauma or bacterial septicemia.
Treatment for Underarm Pustules:
- Try to keep your underarms as clean as possible to avoid pustules. Shave off your underarms, as accumulation of sweat may result in bacterial infections.
- Avoid using deodorants or any application on the skin of the underarm. It may that the inflammation is attributed to allergic reaction to the application.
- Wear only cotton clothing. Synthetic material fails to absorb sweat and aggravates the problems of the underarm regions.
- Take antibiotics, in consultation to your doctor. The discharge appears to be pustular, indicating a bacterial infection.

My boyfriend has little tiny holes near the armpit area. The little holes are separated by 2 cms. They are each about 2 centimeters apart, when you look at it you can see some black stuff in it. If you stick a needle through it it will stay if you leave it. The black stuff will come out. He says it doesn’t hurt even when you put the needle through it. It doesn’t smell. I am just really wondering what it is and what causes it? Is it serious?
Small sebaceous cyst may be the reason for black stuff coming out of the tiny holes. Accumulated dirt and sweat can also clog the pores, which form a cheesy black material. A dermatologist opinion may be helpful in diagnosing the condition.
