    Fungal infections are hard to treat and take the longest. You should see your doctor for a prescription strength cream. As far as orals are concerned, ask your doctor and see what he/she says. Your best bet, however, are prescription creams and doing what you are doing as far as hygiene.

    Ringworm is a highly contagious fungal infection, which can affect any part of the body. Ringworm spreads through direct personal contact (i.e. skin to skin) or by using objects or material that are used by the infected person. In order to prevent ringworm,
    • Avoid direct contact with any person suffering from the condition
    • Avoid sharing your personal items like fomites, cloths, gears, comb etc with others
    • Occasionally it can be transmitted via an infected animal, so prevent contact with stray animals. Also make sure that you wash your hands thoroughly after a suspected contact, though this may help little it is always better to be on the safer side.
    Homeopathic drugs like Sepia or Arsenic Album in low potency will help treat the condition effectively. Though dark scaring is common after the infection, these drugs will prevent scarring from take place. Also apply coconut oil or tea tree oil at the site, which will considerably reduce itching and burning at the site.
