Facial Massage Technique
• Massaging 20 minutes once a week OR 5 to 10 minutes daily is highly beneficial.
• Use plenty of cream and begin from the base of the throat. Massage from the collarbone to the tip of the chin and jaw bone with deep stroking, one hand following the other. Repeat each movement 10 times.
• Now use thumb and index finger and pinch from the chin to the edge of jawbone and backwards. Repeat several times.
• To reduce double chin and increase circulation, slap the chin with the backs of the hand.
• Now with your fingertips make upward and outward circular movements all along from the chin, up across the cheeks and finally the temples.
• Blow the cheeks and pat with fingertips from the corners of the mouth to the nose. Massage the nose with small circular movements moving from bridge to the tip of the nose.
• The area under the eyes should be massaged from outer corners to inner corners and out over the eyelids. After that using second and third fingers gently stroke from the bridge of the nose to around the temples.
• To relieve tension, pinch eyebrows from bridge of nose to outward direction. Make small circular movements at the temples.
• Using first and second fingertips make brisk scissor movement horizontally up and over the forehead, starting at the center and finishing at the temples.
• Two major pressure points are – one at the bridge of the nose where it meets the eye socket and other at the temples. For a relaxed feeling use fingertips and apply gentle pressure at these points for five seconds.
