Natural facial hair removal would entail pain in the process.
- Plucking facial hair. Although a simple method, it is considered be painful and tedious by some.
- Waxing. This is a painful procedure wherein hot wax is spread over the unwanted hairs. A piece of cloth or paper will be attached to the area and pulled when the hairs have stuck to it.
- Threading. This is a technique that uses two threads to pull facial hairs.
- Using lotions and creams. Most of these are applied to the hairy area like the armpit and legs and allowed to set in for a few minutes before you may wipe them off with a damp cloth or rinse them off with water-and the hairs will be removed. This process does not remove the hair follicles. It just breaks them. Hence, hair growth will still be expected in time.
Precautions To be Taken During Facial Hair Treatment
- Proper skin care should be observed after the procedure.
- Make sure there are no cuts and open wounds on the hairy area before applying any procedure as this can be an entry mode for any bacteria.
- Observe proper hygiene. When there is plucking done in the facial area, an injury to the pores is likely to happen. Any injury to the pores may serve as a good ground for the growth of bacteria.
- Be wary about using those skin care products that may cause irritation and allergic reactions.
- Before using or applying any product on your skin, place a small amount in between the folds of your elbow and check if there would be itching in the area. The folds between your elbows are good spots to check for allergic reactions as they are highly sensitive and thin.
