Natural Cures for Rosacea:
Rosacea is a skin disorder and it usually starts in the age of 40’s. If no precaution is taken it can then go into chronic stage. Usually faulty diet and faulty habit are the main causative factors which are the culprits and hence they are to be removed first for its treatment.
Preventing Rosacea:
- Things which are faulty to health are stress, alcohol, excessive cold or heat, exposure to direct sunlight for long periods, hot drinks and spicy or sugary food items.Fatty acids (margarine, shortening, hydrogenated vegetable oils) are better avoided. Deficiency of Vitamin B is thought to one of the causative factor for this condition (deficiency can be because of eating too much of junk food or poor diet). Those who drink too much of alcohol and do not have proper food are also prone to this condition.
- One should go on short fast of one or two days are helps in cleansing of the system and toxins. During this time raw vegetables and fruits are to be taken. Water intake should be abundant as it flushes out the toxins from the body.
- Avoid strenuous exercise which produces sweating. Avoid exposure to heat from the sun, an open fireplace, oven door or facial steaming. They can burst the dilated capillaries on the face.
- Avoid icy chilling, after shave lotions, skin toners, harsh soaps or hard scrubbing.
- Avoid commercial skin creams and greasy cosmetics. Wash your pillow case regularly in chemical free detergents.
Home Remedies for Rosacea:
- For five minutes each evening, massage olive oil outward from nose to ears with circular movements to cure rosacea.
- After washing your face, rinse with cold water in which you earlier boiled potatoes. Or use a mixture of ½ cup water and one tablespoon apple cider vinegar.
- Face pack is prepared with mixing 5gms of red sandalwood powder with milk. This paste is applied uniformly over the affected area. This is very useful remedy in treating rosacea.
- Cumin seeds are grinded. Paste is prepared from the 5gms powder of cumin seeds mixed in very little water. Apply uniformly and rinse it off after one hour.
