Natural Anti-Fungal Treatment for Fungal Infection
Here are some of the natural herbs which are useful in treatment of fungal infection. They are garlic, goldenseal, tea tree oil, turmeric oil, licorice, lemongrass etc.
- Garlic is first and foremost in cure for fungal infection. This herb is useful both internally as well as external application. For best results one has to take at least four to five teaspoon of garlic extract in a day internally. This increases the anti-fungal activity of blood serum against many fungal infections. Garlic extract when applied over the affected area also gives similar result; even better then internally taken.
- Goldenseal contains a principle content called as berberine which is a potent anti-fungal. Goldenseal can be used against any type of fungal infection. It is effective both internally as well as externally. At a time goldenseal application or internal consumption can be taken only for a week. Switch to other home remedy for this period.
- Tea tree oil is useful anti-fungal of foot. It is also useful for getting rid of Candida infection. For external application apply 2 to 3 drops of tea tree oil over the affected area and spread it evenly.This should be done two to three times per day. It is a skin irritant, so first try it on small area if it is bearable. It not you can add little coconut oil to it before application.
- Turmeric oil is very useful remedy for fungal infection. Small concentration of it is required for getting rid of infection. Take concentrated turmeric oil and to it add same quantity coconut oil or two part water.
- Licorice powder is taken for treatment of fungi. Take 4-6 teaspoon of licorice powder and add to 100ml of water. Simmer this for around 20mins. Strain the pulp and use liquid for external application.
- Lemongrass is used both internal as tea and externally as application. Tea prepared from lemongrass should be taken 2-4 cups daily till you are free of fungi. The tea tastes good and the spent tea bag is applied externally on the area which is infected by fungi.
