Treatment Of Allergic Rhinitis: Symptoms And Causes Of Rhinitis

Question: I feel very uncomfortable due to dry nasal passage. Sometimes sinus pain is there due to which I cannot put head down or backwards. I also sneeze occasionally.

Answer: Yours is a case of allergic rhinitis with sinusitis. Rhinitis is an inflammatory condition of the nasal passages and sinusitis is the inflammation of the para – nasal sinuses.
The reason the head pains when you lie down, is that, when you lie down, the congestion in the sinuses increases. When you are erect, drainage occurs due to gravity and reduces that feeling of fullness.
