How to Get Pregnant After Miscarriage
It is time to rejoice as you are getting pregnant so soon after a miscarriage. There is a common concern in woman who gets pregnant after a miscarriage of whether she will have successful delivery the next time.
No one can predict of safe pregnancy and a healthy outcome, but you can try to minimize the risk of miscarriage.
Miscarriage usually occurs during the first trimester of pregnancy. In some woman miscarriage can occur due to progesterone deficiency in the early weeks of pregnancy.
Investigation required are: Blood test for toxoplasmosis, VDRL, complete blood count, blood grouping and Rh factor and blood sugar estimation
Some of the tips to retain the pregnancy after miscarriage are:
- Your doctor may prescribe progesterone supplements in early pregnancy if there is a history of repeated miscarriage.
- Eat healthy and nutritious diet: Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables as they contain vitamins and minerals which are necessary for the proper growth of the fetus as
- Restrict the intake of caffeinated drinks, instead drink water liberally
- Do not consume alcohol and stop smoking if you are having the habit, as these are known to cause miscarriages and low birth weight in baby.
- Report unusual spotting or bleeding from the vagina to your doctor
- Take rest frequently in between your work, sleep for at least 8 hours in a day
- Do not lift heavy objects or do not strain for hard manual work in early weeks of pregnancy
- Avoid sexual intercourse during first three months of pregnancy.
