Blocked Fallopian Tube

Causes of ectopic pregnancy is due to a simple error in the human reproductive cycle allowing implantation of the embryo outside the endometrial cavity. The most common site for ectopic pregnancy is the fallopian tubes, which is a canal that transports the egg from the ovaries to the endometrial cavity.

It appears in your case that the previous ectopic pregnancy occurred in the fallopian tube, causing it to become dysfunctional. I will require a bit of more personal information from you with specific reference to your age, children (if any), and partner’s age, along with information about your present occupation.

First of all, you need to convince your partner to get his semen analyzed. This is essential, as it is the simplest measure to ensure fallopian tube fertility. All the subsequent procedures/investigations are invasive procedures and hence it is recommended as the first step.

Following this you will need to check whether the other fallopian tube is intact. It is essential that the other fallopian tube is normal and patent. Next you will have to check if your ovulation cycle is occurring normally. Are you overweight? Do you suffer from PCOD (Polycystic ovarian disease)? These conditions will make it difficult for you to convince without medical assistance.
As a last resort you may consult your gynecologist and inquire about artificial reproductive techniques that can be used like artificial insemination (only if you have patent tubes), In Vitro Fertilization, etc. These technologies are fairly advanced and have the ability to ensure you a child, however are very expensive procedures.
