Mouth Sore Remedy | Treatment to Reduce Gum Swelling | Cure Mouth Swelling

Question: I have sores on the inner part of the mouth and swellings on the gum leading to reddening of lips. Please suggest treatment.

Sores in the mouth and buccal cavity are called apthae.
The commonest cause is dyspepsia/indigestion, occurring due to indiscretions in the diet.
Do you suffer from acidity frequently?
Is your eating pattern irregular?

Another primary cause is constipation. A sluggish bowel movement can cause mouth sores. Collection of feces is responsible for the toxins to get diverted into the blood stream, resulting in infection.

  • Drinking 10 glasses of water daily will stimulate healthy bowel movement and peristalsis. It aids in the excretion of fecesĀ  and also flushes out toxins.
  • Most importantly, you have to reform your diet. Stay away from refined and processed foods. Make fresh fruits and vegetables the mainstay of the diet. Checking errors in your diet will solve half your problems.
