Pain after Dental Treatment | Oral Treatments and Aftercare

Discomfort after Dental Treatment:

Tooth pain reduces when the dentist treats the damaged teeth. But the discomfort in the area of the treatment lasts for some time. Pressure on the side of the teeth and jaws, small injuries of the surrounding gums, and soreness of the wound after an extraction usually cause pain and discomfort. If no relief is observed within six hours of treatment, see your dentist.

Symptoms, Remedies after Dental Treatment:

• Dull or aching pain after treatment like fitting a crown, fillings etc..; injury to the gums due to removal of tartar; pressure pain or sore spots from new dentures; bleeding after extraction.

Remedy – Arnica 200 (Depending on severity one dose every half an hour, but not more than five times)

• Pain and soreness after extraction of a tooth; severe nerve pain.

Worse – During the night
Remedy – Hypericum 30

• Irritating, stabbing pain after a filling; nausea, particularly after local anesthesia; feels as if a nail is being pricked; very sensitive to cold.

Better – Warm compresses, warm drinks
Remedy – Nux vomica 200
