Question: I had over 50 surgical procedures for complex hydrocephalus. Most recent procedure resulted in extreme occipital to c2 pain. Please suggest any relief treatment.

Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) is a clear fluid, secreted in the brain for the purpose of mechanical and chemical (immunological) protection and easy of transportation of nutrients and waste material across the brain. When the flow of the CSF is obstructed due to blockage of the internal network/channels in the brain, it results in accumulation of fluid. This condition is called hydrocephalus (i.e. water in brain).
Hydrocephalus Diagnosis:
- Hydrocephalus occurs in adults following an injury of the spinal cord.Surgical intervention is mandated for release of pressure on the brain due to the excessive fluid in the brain.
- Headache and neck pain is attributed to the pressure in the brain. The neck pain / spasm may be due to the increasing pressure of the fluid.
- Homeopathic drugs have been known to improve the condition, but the treatment of hydrocephalus would depend on the factors including cause of the condition, the structural deformity, etc.
- Try Calcaria Phosphoricum 6x or Siliciea 6x, 4 pills, four times every day for hydrocephalus cure. These drugs are useful in adults, whom hydrocephalus is attributed to trauma or spinal cord injury.
