White Spots On Baby | Home Remedies and Natural Cure for Spots on Baby
White Spots on Baby
You might notice some white spots on your baby and wonder how you can get rid of them. Getting rid of these spots requires a careful knowledge of what they are and what caused them. The first thing you will need to do is to consult with your pediatrician to determine why your baby has white spots.
- Lack of calcium
- Fungal infections
- Dry skin
- Excessive sweating
- Heredity
- Eczema
These problems can be easily treated if you know what is creating the white spots on your baby’s skin. For example, if your baby is suffering from lack of calcium, then the solution is an increase in the calcium intake of your child.
Home Remedies and Natural Treatment for White Spots on Baby
If your baby is suffering from white spots due to fungal infections or due to eczema, here are a few homemade remedies that you can use on your child:
- Aloe lotions are good for the skin and can help with the problem of white spots or flakes on your baby’s skin. You should apply aloe lotion on your baby’s skin after his or her bath and whenever you notice his or her skin drying up or when white flakes seem to appear.
- Oatmeal is also a good way to help keep baby’s skin healthy and free of these spots and fungal problems. Using an oatmeal bath for baby to help with this dilemma involves mixing together a couple of cups of raw oats that have been ground into a powder (use a food processor for this) and some warm water. Have your baby soak in a tub with this mixture for at least fifteen minutes, rinse him off, and then towel him dry. Do this at least twice a day.
- A natural skin wash that is made up of a few herbal ingredients may also help with this problem. Mix together a teaspoon each of such herbs like slippery elm bark, comfrey root, and white oak bark and add this to a couple of cups of warm water. Boil this mixture and then lower to a simmer for half an hour. Strain and cool this mixture down and use this as a wash for your baby’s skin at least once a day.

My 2 month old has white spots on his face. Initially there was just one white spot on the left side of the face but now they seem to be spreading all over the face, some on the forehead as well as the neck. I’m very worried as to what might be the reason behind it and whether they are curable. It’s stressing me so much that I cannot concentrate anywhere. I would like to know the reasons for the white spots an treatment for curing the spots from the skin.
