Burning sensation in stomach is a common complaint nowadays. Burning sensation in stomach causes due to inflammation of stomach lining. Most common cause for burning sensation in stomach is irregular timings of meals, eating junk food which is usually a bad combination or food which is cooked improperly. One has habit of over eating. This can cause extra burden on stomach leading to burning sensation in stomach.

Excess in any thing is harmful; tea, coffee, alcohol, soft drinks, sauces, condiments, creams, fatty food etc are all causative factor for burning sensation in stomach.
Nowadays along with above given factors we come across anxiety, worry, tensions, grief, self medication etc are all responsible for this condition.
This condition can be averted and is reversible by following certain dietary restriction.

Preventing Burning Sensation in Abdomen:

Fasting is very beneficial in this condition.

One should fast for one or two days depending upon the severity of the condition. One should drink only warm water. This helps in giving rest to stomach and toxic waste from the body is also removed by this procedure which causes inflammation of the stomach lining.
If complete fast is not possible one can take fruits for two to three days. Fruits which are advisable in this condition are grapefruit, grapes, oranges, melons, watermelons, pineapples, apples, peaches and pears.

After this one should have diet which is well-balanced with vegetables, grains, nuts and fruits.
Things to be completely avoided are tobacco, alcohol, condiments and spices, pickles, meat, pepper, coffee and strong tea. Take meals on definite timings. Dinner should be at least two to three hour before going to bed. Enough water in-take is important.
