Thinness Causes, Remedies to Cure being Skinny, Weak, Fatigued

Thinness is basically a condition where a person is underweight. A person is considered moderately underweight if he weighs 10% below ideal body weight, and markedly underweight if its below 20%.
There are 2 types of thin people -

  • Wiry and energetic people who eat heartily and never put on weight.
  • Person who lacks energy and drive. They are unable to take normal meals and rich food makes them sick.

    • Excess body activity or inadequate nutrition or combination of both are mainly responsible for thinness.
    • Small meals and habitual fasting.
    • Wrong diet, inadequate exercise.
    • Overactive thyroid, inadequate digestion and absorption of food.
    • Chronic diarrhea, liver disorders, presence of parasites in alimentary canal.
    • Constipation, sleeplessness, sexual disorders, diabetes and heredity are other factors.

    • Nutrient’s that keep the nerves relaxed are very essential for the treatment of thinness.
    • Vitamin D and Vitamin B6, calcium and magnesium are very important for the treatment of thinness.
    • Milk, cod liver oil and sunlight are rich in Vitamin D.
    • Milk and yogurt are rich in calcium, beet, radish, spinach and Parsley are rich in magnesium.
    • Vitamin B is necessary for normal appetite, proper digestion and absorption of foods and regular elimination.
    • Eggs, butter, soybean, nuts and whole grain cereals are rich in Vitamin B.
    • Vegetable oil is rich in Vitamin E and essential fatty acids and of special value to those who want to gain-weight.
    • Eat around 6 frequent small meals in a day.

      I keep telling every body, but no one seems to listen. I do everything you said and beyond, but I me is me. I cannot even gain 1 Kg no matter how much I eat, seriously. I think it has to do with genetics and probably that is just the way I am.

      If you are thin and want to gain weight here are some clues which may be helpful to gain weight:
      - Eat more, eat four or five meals in a day, and drink juice and milkshakes that provide more calories. Eat grains and vegetables that contain more starch like rice, potatoes, pastas, oat. Eat butter or butter spread on bread. It contains plenty of fats.
      - Eat high protein diet; this includes egg white, milk, yogurt, cheese, cereals, nut, and seeds. Pulses, soya food also contain rich source of proteins. Red meat and fish also increases weight.
      - Figs and other dried fruits such as almonds, dates, are known to increase weight.
      - Smoking, tea, coffee should be restricted.
      - Eating bananas increases weight.
      Apart from this do regular exercise, yoga, meditation, and take proper and sound sleep.
