Thank you for the info I have I twin who has rickets the other one is OK. Besides rickets could there be other factor affecting him? His bones are soft and the muscles are also feeble. Though he is taking supplements, He is 1 yr 2mths but can’t stand or sit. Though sits for a while. Any help would be appreciated.
If he is diagnosed of rickets by your doctor, you can give him natural calcium supplements. Milk, dairy products, banana etc contain natural form of calcium. Daily exposure to sun is also important as it is a good source to produce vitamin D in the body. Proper treatment and follow up will benefit the child within few months, though the milestones are delayed.
