Symptoms of Pyorrhea and its Natural cure
Pyorrhea is a disease of the teeth socket. It affects the membrane surrounding the teeth root, loosens the tooth and leads to shrinkage of the gum. It may cause tooth loss if not treated on time.
Symptoms of Pyorrhea
- The gum becomes tender and pus oozes out along the margin of the teeth on pressing.
- The gum swells in advanced cases and find its way to the stomach.
- As a result liver trouble sets in.
- Digestion is disturbed.
- Sepsis appears in various forms and whole system is adversely affected.
Causes of Pyorrhea
- Bacteria is the primary cause of pyorrhea.
- If teeth are not cleaned properly especially after meals it forms a mass on the tooth surface called plaque.
- Bacteria in the plaque produce toxins that irritate the gums, cause inflammation of the gums, tenderness and bleeding.
- Wrong feeding habits like use of white bread and sugar, excess meat; injury to the gums and supporting structures by improper use of toothpicks, stagnation of food particles, wrong brushing and physical and chemical irritation in the mouth, allergy, pregnancy, use of pill and prolonged tension are other factors.
Pyorrhea Treatment
- Clean the acid impurities from the blood and tissue. Begin with a short juice fast for 3-5 days. Administer warm water enema. Adopt an all-fruit diet for 3-5 days. Then gradually embark on a well-balanced diet.
- Avoid starchy and sticky foods, white bread and sugar, all refined and tinned foods, alcohol, meat, and strong tea and coffee.
- Eat hard and fibrous foods to exercise gums and teeth.
- Chewing unripe guava or even its leaves is an excellent tonic for teeth and gums. It stops bleeding and keeps teeth healthy.
- Raw spinach also prevents and treats pyorrhea. Combination of carrot and spinach juice enhances the effects greatly.
- Lemon and lime strengthen gums and teeth, and prevent and cure acute inflammations of the gum margins.
- Daily dry friction and hip bath and a hot Epsom salt bath twice a week are also beneficial.
