Home cures for Prostrate Disorders
Prostrate Disorders are of two types. Inflammation in the prostate gland (Prostatitis) and enlargement of the prostate glands (hypertrophy) are different prostate disorders.
Symptoms of Prostrate Disorders
- Interference in the passage of urine and need to empty the urine frequently are the main symptoms.
- Pain in the legs, feet and hips and aching pain in the lower back.
- Mental, physical and nervous disturbances and lack of energy and disturbed health are other symptoms.
Causes of Prostrate Disorders
- An increase in pressure in the pelvic region and resultant congestion of tissues in and around the prostate gland is the main factor.
- An erect position, prolonged periods of sitting down, constipation and heavy body due to old age are all responsible for the condition.
- Inflammation or enlargement occurs in the gland with passage of time.
- Exposure to chill, cold and infectious disease may cause acute prostatitis.
Natural remedies for Prostrate Disorders
- Drink lots of water possibly at 1 hour intervals. Avoid solid food for 2-3 days. Administer warm water enema regularly.
- Hot and cold application may be used directly on prostate glands and its surrounding parts.
- Relieve pain and congestion with alternate hot and cold hipbaths. Later adopt an all-fruit diet for 3 days. Then a diet comprising of 2 meals of fruits and 1 meal of cooked vegetables should be followed for 7 days.
- Pumpkin seeds have been found effective against prostate disorders. They are essential for the health of the prostate.
- Avoid seasoned foods, sweet stimulants, heavy starches, spices, red meats, fried food, tea, coffee, alcohol and tobacco as they cause direct irritation on the prostate gland and bladder.
- Patient should chew food thoroughly and water should be taken between meals.
- Avoid constipation, vigorous exercises; extended periods of sitting, irregularity in drinking and eating, and sexual excesses.
- Tone up the general health of the body.
