• Virus. A virus may enter the body through droplets and other particles that makes its way through the nose and mouth. Once inside the body, they invade certain body cells and start reproducing.
• Bacteria infection. Bacteria may affect the respiratory system and cause a person to develop pneumonia when a person is affected with ailments in other parts of the body.
  Through the bloodstream, bacteria may circulate in the body.
• Fungi, parasites, and other similar causes.
