From what I have looked up about the symptoms, it is possible that it is any one or all three of the types: Viral, Fungal, or Bacterial.
I blended a multi-juice anti-oxidant immune system builder supplement with about 50 papaya seeds and some garlic.
I read that papaya seeds are effective against Bacterial infections and garlic is good against fungal infections.
For the viral, all you can do is boost your immune system and pray.
I am going to see if she can blend small amounts of this stuff into banana or chocolate shakes to make it less spicy.

I have a friend with an 8-year-old daughter who was just diagnosed with pneumonia.<br

-	Give him turmeric mixed with hot milk every night. 1 spoon in 1 cup of warm milk daily is recommended, and will cure the cough effectively. It will also quicken recovery and recuperation, since turmeric is a potent anti-microbial herb.
-	Another effective home remedy to treat pneumonia is, by making a powder of clove, cardamom, and cinnamon. Mix 1 spoon of the powder with 2 tablespoons of honey. This formula shows miraculous healing properties, since it tones up the entire respiratory tract.
-	Highly important, is the diet that he eats. Incorporate loads of pulses, milk, and fresh fruits in the diet. These foods improve strength and vitality, and will also pep up his immune system.
-	Avoid giving him sugar, sweets, banana, refined flour and carbohydrates, and fried and greasy foods. They aggravate the symptoms and delay healing.

Treating pneumonia

-	Give him turmeric mixed with hot milk every night. 1 spoon in 1 cup of warm milk daily is recommended, and will cure the cough effectively. I just want to ask, is there any other home remedies which can prevent pneumonia? I mean home prophylaxis to pneumonia. Thank you.

I have read your articles, and really they are very simple to understand.<br

In Pneumonia, the tissues lining one or both the lungs become inflamed, impairs breathing by making it difficult for the oxygen to reach the blood stream and affects even the brain, heart and kidneys.
Some of the symptoms of Pneumonia
1. Chills and fever (from 100 to 105 degree Fahrenheit).
2. Shortness of breath and chest pain on inhalation.
3. Fatigue and weakness.
4. Rapid breathing and pulse rate.
5. Sore throat, headache and muscle pain.
6. Cough sometimes with bloody sputum, which may last up-to 6 weeks.
7. Mental confusion, blue tinge to skin and extreme breathing difficulty in severe cases.
How is Pneumonia caused?
1. It is mainly due to bacterial or viral infection - often as a complication of a lingering cold or a bout with flu or bronchitis.
2. When body defense weakens due to old age, illness or impaired immunity, the bacteria that are found in the throats multiply and enter the lungs.
3. Many viruses can also infect the lungs, but influenza viruses mostly progress to pneumonia.
4. It can strike anytime, but is usually common during autumn and winter months.
5. Smoking, alcoholism, immunosuppressive medications, chemotherapy, surgery, prolonged use of antibiotics; Asthma, AIDS, heart disease, chronic kidney disease; certain fungi and inhalation of certain chemicals and gases are other factors.
Natural treatment for Pneumonia

1. Pain relievers can be taken to reduce pain and lower fever.
2. Lung-secretions should be loosened, by using humidifier, drinking lots of water, so that they can be expelled easily.
3. Shortness of breath and fever can be reduced by plenty of rest.
4. Place a heating pad on your chest for 10 minutes to get some relief from chest pain.
5. If you have painful, dry, persistent cough use dextromethorphan.
Prevention of Pneumonia
1. If you are at a greater risk, get yourself immunized with a vaccine.
2. Tobacco weakens your immune system and hence combating infection becomes difficult.
3. A flu vaccination annually can protect you from pneumonia due to flu.

What is Pneumonia?

In Pneumonia, the tissues lining one or both the lungs become inflamed, impairs breathing by making it difficult for the oxygen to reach the blood stream and affects even the brain, heart and kidneys.

Some of the symptoms of Pneumonia

1.
