If you only experience simple skin burning, here are few practical tips on how to treat them:
- The aloe vera defense. Always equip yourself with aloe vera. This powerful shield contains substances that are good for healing sunburns. Aloe vera likewise gives you a cooling and calming effect.To get the gel from aloe vera follow the instructions below:
- Cut off the stalk from the plant.
- Squeeze out the gel into your palm.
- Apply the gel in the area of your skin where it got burned.
- Apply as often as necessary.
- The moisturizing defense. Long exposure to the sunlight can dry your skin. It is advisable therefore that you rehydrate your skin once again. Use moisturizer with high alpha-hydroxy acids or AHA level.
- The Pampering bath. After long exposure of the sunlight, pamper yourself by soaking in a tub for an hour with an oatmeal-based bubble bath. This will help your skin to cool down. After the bath, apply an aloe-based lotion all over your skin.
- The Tea defense. Tea found in your kitchen cabinet can be of big help in treating sunburns too. Teas have tannin substance that soothes your pain from burning skin.
- The Vitamin defense. Taking vitamins will also of big help to heal your burned skin quickly. Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, beta-carotene, and flaxseed oil are just few of the medicines available over the counter.
- The baking soda defense. Soak yourself in a tub full with lukewarm water mixed with a cup of baking soda. Stay soak as long as you want. Rinse thoroughly afterwards.
- The big C defense. Eat more foods that are rich in Vitamin C. This can help in speeding up the healing process of your burned skin.
- The homemade balm defense. Make your own balm to soothe the burning pain.
- Squeeze oil from two capsules of vitamin E by piercing them.
- Mix with teaspoon of apple cider vinegar
- Add one teaspoon of lavender oil
- Add 1/3 cup of aloe vera gel
- Place the mixture in a sealed bottle
- Shake them well
- Apply the mixture in your skin anytime you want.
- The Milk Defense. Soak a cotton ball in a glass of milk. Dab it into your skin. Milk has fats and lactic acid that soothes the pain of your burned skin.
