    Aloha, for the past month + I have had a congested chest, very hard to clear, can’t most of the time, nose runs from time to time sneezing like 5 to 10 times at a time, eyes water, I don’t drink or smoke, eat healthy, 71 years old,exercise, just can’t seem to shake it and hope it does not shake me, open for ideas.

    The above symptoms are part of the respiratory tract infection. They are present simultaneously in some people.
    Some home remedies like Aniseed can be tried. A tea made from these spice, can be taken regularly for treating this condition.
    Dried roots of turmeric plant are useful in congestion. The powder made from it can be taken regularly with honey.
    Avoid cold drinks. Steam inhalation can loosen up the congestion in the chest.
    If you have underlying heart problem, look out for other symptoms like ankle swelling, cyanosis (bluish discoloration of nails) to confirm it.

    Take one piece of dried ginger, a few cumin seeds and some pepper. Powder these items (coarse powder) and boil with one or two glasses of drinking water. Put some jaggery in it. Drink it two or three time a day.
