Hidradenitis Suppurativa Treatment
Very little is actually known about this type of skin disease and why it affects a small number of the population. This rather rare skin problem is actually pretty debilitating and embarrassing for the person who is afflicted with it. What causes this disease?
- Very few can actually point out the reasons or causes of this disease, and most of the time, speculation on the cause is all that usually happens when a person is diagnosed with it.
- Some of the possible causes for this disease include genetic disposition to the disease, hormonal imbalance, or an autoimmune deficiency that a person may be suffering from.
- Some researchers point out that there might be a link between HS or hidradenitis suppurativa and Crohn’s disease, but there is still very little evidence to support this claim.
- Speculations also point out that this disease may have some links to sexually transmitted diseases. This is also not fully supported by findings as of yet.
Symptoms of Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS)
When a person suffers from hidradenitis suppurativa, they may experience some or all of these symptoms and problems:
- Obstructed hair follicles and the inflammation of some of a person’s sweat glands, often those that are found near the genitals and under the arms, will often produce pus.

- Scarring is often the result of the rupturing of these boils, nodules, and abscesses and can be pretty embarrassing and annoying to the person afflicted with it.
Home Remedies for Hidradenitis Suppurativa
This problem has no known cure as of yet, and people try to take care of their hidradenitis suppurativa problem by engaging in regular removal and care tips to help keep infection and occurrences down. Here are some of the temporary treatments and care tips that they use:
- Pus removal is one of the remedies that people suffering from HS use to keep the inflammation down. This is sometimes paired with antibiotics to help keep infection and recurrence down as well.
