What is Pink Eye or Conjunctivitis?
Pink eye or conjunctivitis is an eye ailment that makes a person’s eye or eyes itch and appear reddish or red. Some people suffer from swelling of the area around the eyes when they suffer from this problem, and others even have pus-like discharges that gather at the corners of their eyes. The itchiness of this eye problem usually causes more irritation than the conjunctivitis itself, and care should be taken that you do not rub your eyes excessively when infected with pink eye. Rubbing your eyes will usually result in infections and more serious eye problems.
