Question: I have following symptoms , can you please tell me what can be possible cause of it?

Also can you let me know treatment of it? It would be great if you can suggest me some home remedies or natural cures to treat it.

  • Dry hacking cough
  • Feeling Like I have heavy chest
  • I have fever also
  • Feeling shortness of breath
  • gasping for air

Symptoms of a Chest Infection

The symptoms which you’ve sent could be as a result of asthma and/ bronchitis.

  • Since when do you have the cough?
  • Is it always dry? Or occasional sputum is there? What color is the sputum? Has there been an episode of bleeding?
  • Do you smoke? Even occasionally?
  • Do you work in a smoky environment? Do your friends/colleagues smoke?
  • Are you allergic to anything?
  • Is the gasping for breath more pronounced at night?
  • Is there occasional fever?
  • If you could answer all these questions, I could diagnose better.

  • Begin your day with lime and honey. Lime has plenty of vitamin C which is an anti-oxidant. It helps fight infection.
    Honey, makes the breathing easier and tones up the respiratory system.
  • Ginger tea is a very effective home remedy. It brings about quick relief. Grate ginger and add to boiling water. Let it boil for sometime. Consume about 1 cup every day for 2 weeks.
  • Make a powder comprising of peppercorns, cloves and dry ginger powder.
  • This soothes the cough instantaneously. Take 1 spoon of the mixture mixed with 1 spoon honey.
  • Steam inhalation also helps.
