- Vitamin A in carrot juice is good for a person’s eyesight and in keeping your mucous membranes healthy.
- Carrot juice also helps promote the healthy growth of your teeth and your bones. It also helps keep skin healthy and maintains the good health of your body tissues.
- Carrot juice is also a good source of vitamin B complex.
- The minerals found in carrot juice, namely copper, calcium, magnesium, chlorine, sulfur, potassium and iron, among others, also help to keep a person’s body healthy.
How to Extract Carrot Juice
With so many benefits to be found in carrot juice and many more left to be discovered, you may want to start drinking your share of this wonder juice. Here are some ways you can extract the juice from fresh carrots:
- After washing carrots, you can extract the juice by using a juicer that can be bought in department stores or online.
- You can extract carrot juices by grating these carrots with the use of a standard kitchen grater. Put these grated carrots in a clean piece of cheesecloth and squeeze the juice out into a bowl.
- Use your blender or food processor to grind the carrots to a pulp. Put in a strainer that is placed over a bowl and with the back of a spoon, mash the pulp until the juices come out and drain into the bowl. You can also use clean cheesecloth to squeeze the juice out of this pulp.
Carrot Juice Recipes
Some people do not like the taste of carrot juice. This is why there are some recipes that can be used to make carrot juice taste better. Here are some examples:
- You can mix a cup of fresh orange juice with a cup of carrot juice. This orange and carrot juice mix is good to give you Vitamins C and A at the same time.
- Your kids will love the mix of vanilla ice cream and carrot juice in a smoothie. Just blend a tall glass of carrot juice with two scoops of your favorite vanilla ice cream.
- Mix some carrot juice, fresh apple juice, and ginger extracts to make a spicy and sweet mix of carrot juice that is very healthy.
