Belching, Bloating and Diarrhea
- Bloating is always due to over-eating, eating rapidly, eating too much of rich, spicy and food which is fatty leading to incomplete digestion of food. Food must be broken down into simple sugars and amino-acids in order to be effectively absorbed by the intestine.
- Now a days due to our hectic schedule and outside food eating this leads to complex sugars which however, resist this break-down process, perhaps either due to weak enzyme or the person does not produce the enzyme.
- Diarrhea is mostly caused due to virus, bacteria, parasites or fungi which are present in excessive form in indigestible food such as junk food. This is usually associated with indigestion or bloating and belching.
Home Remedies for Bloating and Belching
Things which are used for bloating and belching complaint are asafetida, cardamom, black-salt, celery seeds, anise seeds and dried ginger powder.
- A preparation is made by mixing 5gms each of asafetida, cardamom , black-salt, and dried ginger powder . This is first made into fine powder and mixed well and stored. This is to be taken ½ teaspoon regularly if you have bloating and belching regularly.
- Ani seeds is mixed with double the quantity of celery seeds and sugar to taste and is taken ½ to 1 teaspoon depending upon the intensity of bloating and belching.
- Ginger is well known home remedy which is easily available in kitchen. It helps in stimulation of digestive juices so as to break down heavy food.
Home Remedies for Diarrhea
- Bel ki giri powder 2.5gm-5gm taken thrice or twice depending upon the frequency of the stools gives relief in complaint of diarrhea.
- Decoction is prepared from dashmool and dried ginger powder. This is prepared by using 20ml of dashmool and 2.5gm powder of dried ginger. This is mixed thoroughly. This preparation is taken twice daily gives immediate relief.
Eat healthy food, which is easy to digest such as rice, ginger, pomegranate, black berry etc. Cut off milk, sweets, creams, chocolate, pastries etc. Eat less than appetite.
