Toned Milk and Yogurt Health Benefits | Yogurt for Healthy Heart, Kidney
Health Benefits of Toned Milk:
Consuming 1 glass of toned milk or low fat milk, every single day, could keep your kidney and heart healthy and functioning optimally, says a recent study.
The researchers have revealed, that adults who consumed at least 1 serving of low fat milk or milk products, have 37 % lesser chances of having poor kidney function which, in turn, is associated with lesser heart disorders.
The study states that milk contains protein, vitamin D, calcium, and magnesium, which is highly beneficial and therapeutic for the heart.
For the study, the scientists measured the kidney function of over 5000 people, between the age group of 45 to 84 years.
They tested the albumin to creatinine ratio, which, if low, indicates reduced or affected kidney function and a potent risk for developing cardiovascular diseases.
They also took in to account the eating patterns and diets of the volunteers.
The experts concluded that a healthy diet and adequate consumption of low fat milk and its products keeps the kidney healthy, and consequently the heart fit.
