  • Apply an ice pack on the empty socket to get rid of the pain. This is also effective in closing down open gum due to the tooth extraction
  • Eat frozen delights such as ice cream or shake also to close down the gum wound and to speed up the healing process.
  • Practice proper oral hygiene. Frequently cleaning the extracted area would not only get rid of the pain, it will also help you avoid certain dental and mouth infections
  • Get a clove oil, soak cotton on the clove oil, and dab it on the extracted are for faster pain relief.

  • You can also gargle warm water with a pinch of turmeric powder to attain the same healing effect.
  • Aside from gargling water with turmeric powder, you can massage the dry socket using turmeric powder, mustard oil or table salt.
  • Eat soft foods to ease up the pain and to lessen tension on your jaws.
  • Eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables to boost the immune system.
