- Cold compress. To bring down your body temperature especially if you have fever, dip a piece of towel on cold water or get an ice pack and place it on your forehead.
- Drink plenty of fluids. Hot weather does not only increase your body temperature, it could also bring certain infections and diseases. To prevent this, take plenty of fruit juices especially grape, cucumber, melon, and lemon or some other citrus juice. Aside from cooling down the body, fruit juices are rich in vitamin C that strengthens the immune system. Another treatment to reduce body heat is to take two teaspoons of butter with warm milk and herbal tea.
- Wear comfortable clothing. To bring down body temperature, wear light colored comfortable clothes. Wear sandals instead of wearing closed leather shoes.
- Take a swim. You can also beat the heat by taking a swim in lakes, rivers, and ponds. These bodies of water are good sources of cool and refreshing water that could contribute to the lowering of body temperature.
- Get lots of fresh air. Another way of reducing body heat is by staying in well-ventilated areas, under a tree, or mountains or hillside.
